Reef is a mixed-use micro-unit with restaurant project sold predevelopment. The design is driven by the need for unsubsidized market rate affordable housing through efficient design and greatly reduced parking infrastructure cost. The design encourages the use alternative modes of transportation fronted by a rapid bus line stop and dedicated bus lane. The highly desirable site on El Cajon Blvd. corridor in North Park offers the highest density land use outside Downtown San Diego. Subsequent to the purchase in 2019, design moved forward, clean phase 1 environmental, scaffolding easement obtained, geotechnical investigation, and preliminary city approval of schematic drawings. The property was resold in 2020.
